I love Pink! Maybe it’s because we share a birthday or maybe I like her edginess. She is cool, and her voice stands out. She doesn’t follow the crowd, she seems to be comfortable in her own skin and I always admire a person who is confident with whom they are.
I chose her song “Who Knew,” this week. Sometimes Life and the relationships in our life are taken for granted. We assume that tomorrow will bring more of the same and won’t change all that much. But once in a while, a hiccup occurs and everything we knew to be is no longer the way it was. And we look back and think I would have never thought my life would end up the way it has.

I love a great love song. Sometimes in life, you meet that great love that changes your life. Sometimes even the greatest of loves cannot be together. History is filled with characters that deeply loved each other but couldn’t be together. History is also filled with great loves that were able to stay together for a lifetime.
It’s hard to describe LOVE but once you experience it you never forget it!
This week’s Friday Song is Love Remains the Same by Gavin Rossdale. I love his voice, he’s easy on the eyes and he appears to be a great hubby and daddy!

We are all on a path to a glorious destination. As individuals, we have a responsibility to help our brothers and sisters of the world. We must delve inside ourselves to discover our purpose.
Life is not about acquiring riches or surpassing our neighbors. It is about looking at each other and finding something that we have in common. It’s about helping someone up when they fall, it’s about giving a thumb’s up when no one else is willing to build confidence. It’s about believing without seeing. It’s about understanding and merging together as one. It’s about accepting without judgment.
It’s about believing in a higher power regardless of what you call that higher power.
When you start worrying about the next life, you begin living this life differently.
Life is not a competition; every man is replaceable but only certain ones leave marks.

For some, confidence is hard to achieve. You let other people’s perceptions of you interfere with who you really are. Today is the day to look within and embrace your inner self. You may be different from others and that is okay. Take that difference and fly with it. You don’t have to be like anyone else to fit in. If someone makes you feel out of place because you are different, chances are they are intimidated by the confidence they see but you don’t. We are spending way too much money a week on gas. My checking account is quickly depleting because of trips to the gas station. Many days, I look down at the gas gauge and realize -“I’m running on empty.”
Life as a mother of four is crazy and filled with to do lists. I am a headless chicken trying to get everything done by day’s end. I try to squeeze a few minutes here and there for things I like to do. By nightfall, I sit back and say to myself, “I’m running on empty.”
The economy is in distress and the future is unclear, we are- running on empty.

Last Friday was sunny, warm and inviting. This Friday is gloomy and cool. Immediately I could feel the blues setting in. Last week I felt like I could conquer the world but today I felt like I wanted to hide from the world. I searched for depressing songs to suit my mood. I was prepared to sulk when I came across a song that lifted my mood. This Little Light of Mine is exactly what I needed. Bruce Springsteen’s version is upbeat and knocked the blues out of me. When the world outside is gloomy and dark, find your light and let it shine.
